DUNBDIN, October 12. f At the Tahuna Park Trotting Club's ileet* ing to-day the stewards expressed themselves dissatisfied with the running of two out of three starters in the Selling ltace—Patience and The Laird—and decided to try them both. Riders were found, and the two horses were sent out, but the best time they could do was not fast enough to have landed either a winner in the race, so the stewards-decided to take no action. Another incident in connection with to-day's meeting was that Rocket and Cockey were refused permission to start in the events in which they were engaged, on the f round that they were from Australia, and ad no -certificates.
