The main part of the town is on low ground and liable to floods. The rateable value of the property is £35,676.] SENTENCED TO DEATH. (Received October 12th, 11.45 a.m.) SYDNEY, October 12. John Sleigh has been sentenced to death for the murder of Curran near Bombala. THE PLAGUE. (Received October 12th, 11.30 p.m.) BRISBANE, October 12. James Jackson has been attacked with plague.
