SWIMMING.
The annual meeting of the members o? the East Chrtstchurch, Amateur Swimming Club was'held last night at the main school. Mr ' Taylor, vice-president, occupied the chair. The report stated that in the last season twcout of the three provincial championships had been won by the Club, viz., 100 Yards' Championship of Canterbury, by J. S. Wauchop, and the 220 Yards' Onam•pionship, won by J. S. Tntseott, . Tha total prize -winnings amounteil to £27 3s 6d. There -was a credo* balance of £1 2s-Bd. ' The report and balance-sheet were adopted. The' officers were elected as follows:—President, Mr E. -W. Roper (reelected) ; vice-presidents, IK , . Orchard, Messrs 8,.- Struthers, W. --W. Collins, MiH.E., Moore, '-Sycamore,- G. Bush, J. Drake; captain, Mr J. S. Wauchop; 4*' puty captain, Mr A. Donaldson ; lion, secretary, Alt'. A. Calv*rt; treasurer, Mr JR. Bush ; committee, Messrs Truscott, Taylor, Hatch, V. Drake, and O. Ortnandy; delegates to ■KZ-β.A., Messrs Taylor. DonaMson, and Calvert; del&gate to Canterbury S.A., Mr J. S. Wauchop; delegate to Sports' Protection. Association Mr Calvert; handicappers, Messrs Calvert and Donaldson; auditor, Mr J. Allard. Mr Taylor -was elected as a life member of the Club.
