HOCKEY.

The Kia Ora Girls' Hockey Club closed the season on Tuesday afternoon, when a game was played between two chosen sides. After the play was over, the players were provided with afternoon tea at the residence of Mrs Searell, their president, where the Club's referee and coach, Mr V. R. Gunn, was presented with a silver- mounted walking stick for his services during the season.
