ASHLEY COUNTY ASSOCIATION.
Rangiora and Woodend met at Rangiora, the latter winning by eight wickets. The scores were:—Woodend 98 and 18 for two wickets, Rangiora 43 and 72. Cresewell, Helmore, Reeves, and Gulliver were the principal scorers for Rangiora, and Stone, Smith, Macdonald, and Uru for Woodend. Uru and Jud&on. bowled best for Woodend.
On Monday a cricket match between Auctioneers and Dealers v Amberley was played at Amberley. After an exciting game Amberley won by 1 run. Scores: — Amberley 37 (Rhodes 12 not out), Auctioneers '36 (G. Mason 17). The bowlers were —For Amberley C. B. and T. Mason, and W. B. Scott, and for Auctioneers G,. Mason and J. C. Clarkson.
A match, Greendale v Hororata, was played on Saturday, -when Greendale •won by 95 rune on the first innings. At the Leeston Recreation Ground, on Catarday, Irwell beat Lseeton by 6 runs. The Weedons-Rolleston United Cricket Club played Courtenay United, at Kirwee, on Saturday.
