A match was played at Lyttelton on "Wednesday, between the Ghristchurch and Lyttelton Clubs, and resulted in a victory for the local club by six games. The ladies of the local club provided afternoon tea.

Tho annual meeting of the Christchurch Lawn Tennis Club was held on Tuesday. The following officers were elected:—Patron, Mr W. Reeee; president, Mr T. S. Forster; vicepresidents, Messrs S.
