The Waimate left for Wellington and "W*itara at eight o'clock last night. The Wakatn arrived from Cheviot, etc., early yesterday morning. She 19 again under command of Cantain Wills, who has recovered from hin indisposition. The Wakatu sailed for Cheviot, etc.. last night. The Tyser liner Indramayo arrived late on Wednesday night. She is commanded by "Captain Trotter, who has the following deck officers : — Chief Mr Hodgson; second, Air Taylor; third. Mr Housecraft. The engineers are Messrs Craig, Carrie, Evendon, and Bowen. The refrigerating engineers are Messrs Dibbs, Howin, and Knapp. The Poherua comes out of dock to-day, and sails for Westport. While she was in dock two butt-straps and a- number of rivets were replaced. The Toroa fakes her place in dock to-day, and is to undergo her annual inspection, etc. Captain Watchlin of the schooner Glencairn, has gone to Wanganui to recruit his health. It is imderstood that the N.Z.S. Co. has secured some sailing vessels to'load this season's wool in Kew Zealand, but their loading ports have not yet been fixed. Presentations have been made by Captain Robertson tuid the officers of the Rotoiti to Mr Flymi (third officer), who was married last week, and Mr Wallace (third engineer), who entered the state of matrimony on Wednesday. Mr Hutchison, chief engineer, was the spokesman on each occasion.
Fifty extra., men have been re-started at work by the Westport Harbour Board's engineer, and these, together s with the dredging staff, will bring the number at present in the employ of the Board to lnnetyfive.
