LONDON, October 10. Captain E. B. Towse, of the Gordon Highlanders, who was blinded during a charge which he headed against the Boers, and who received the Victoria Cross for that action, haa been awarded the "Special Wounds" pension of £300 a year. The award was made at the instance of her Majesty the Queen.
