WELLINGTON, October 10. Wind—Gale from between north-east, north, and west after ten hours at all places north of the East Cape, Taupo, and New Plymouth, and after that time at places thence southward.
Barometer—Fall everywhere. Sea heavy on the east coast north of the Cape after twelve hours, also on the west coast north of Westport; moderate elsewhere. Tides generally high. Rain is to be expected m all parts of tne country. Warning signals for northerly galee aTe exhibited at Cape Maria Van Diemen, and Tiritiri, and also at Canes Caßapbeil, Farewell, and Foulwind. SYHOPSIS OF TH» PREVIOUS 2i HOURS. Increased pressure everywhere, but mostly in the southern districts. A low pressure from the west will pas 3 eastward of .the meridian 61 the South Cape late to-morrow. Pressure is low in the Tasinan Sea, and travelling to the south-east, but is apparently decreasing in energy. Rain has fallen in nearly all parts of the' country, with westerly winds north of Napier and jfew Plymouth, and. strong winds to galo from the same quarter elsewhere.
