ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.
MAN KILLED AT HORRELVTLLB.
William Morris, a ploughman, was aaa* dentally killed on Tuesday evening, by being dragged from" his horse when ratarßing rrorri work to his home, near the Hcsrel* ville railway station. .
As a mai and r/oman weri -driving through Kaiapoi near tho Ohoka road on Wednesday, the horse fell dead, breako-g pairt of the vehicle. The woman w- 9 thrown on to the road, bub her injuries were only superficial bruises. An old man named John Dynes, su~|eight years of age; dropped dead at Soatkbridge on Tuesday. Dr. Withers had examined and prescribed for him on Thursday, and he is willing to give a certificate. An inquest was heM at the Asylum yesterday, touching the death of William Edward "Genet, an old man, sixty-five ynsxsoiage. He was admitted to the Asylum on the 4th inst., suffering from dementia, and, on examination, his heart was found to 0* diseased. He failed rapidly. and died at 2.55 a.m. on Tuesday. The post mortem examination showed * that the heart was eitensively diseased, this being the --US*" of death.
