(PRESS ASSOCIATION* TELEGRAM.) WELLINGTON, September 12. Wind—Gale from between north and east and south-east at all places northward of the East Cape, Taupo, and New Plymouth, and from between east and north and northwest between Gisborne and Napier; strong north to east and south-east winds thence to Lytteiton and Queenatown, and strong westerly winds elsewhere. Barometer—Fall everywhere. . Soa—Heavy on the east coast northward of Lytteiton and tha west coast north of Cape Egmont; moderate elsewhere. Tides High on all eattern coast north of Lytteiton, good thence* southward and on all the wo-tern coast. • . Rain will be heavy northward of Napier, Taupo and Raglan, and is probable thence south to Cape Campbell and* Westport. Warning signal* for an easterly gale are exhibited at Cape Maria vail Dieaien and liritin. SYNOPBIS OP THE PREVIOUS 24 HOURS. Slowly decreasing pressure everywhere, and there has been a hard easterly gale with rain at most places north-east ol Cape Taupo and Raglan, with heavy rain; ram has also south to Hokitika. A low pres-sure-ravelling to the south-east but decreasine in energy, ia to tho westward of Cape I_gmfnt from the ,pass east of tho meridian of the South Capo to-day. and one from the same quarter on the 15th.

Hobart, September 11th—Wind, E.; baro.. 30.00; cloudy. Sydney, September 12th—Wird, N.E.; baro., 29.80;/ showery. . . Captain Edwin reports:—Pressure has mcrease'd at Albany, but at both Sydney and Hobart it has decreased. A low pressure from the north-west is about 60 mites to the southwest of Cape Hgmont, and a low pressure from the west has passed -eastward of the meridian of the South Cape, and one also from the west will pass on the 15th.
