Penlington, Templur, W. \ Burgess, T. Irvine,' aad H.. N. Wright; ; selection committee. Messrs F. Lill, H. , Js. , Wright, and J. Burgess. Mr T. Thex annual meeting of the Ashburion Cricket Club lapsed for want of a, quorum. The -Lancaster Park C. C. »beJd its annua] General meeting on Saturday evening, the President, Mr W. D. Metres, in the chair. The report and balance-sheet, tire latter showing a. credit or £4 6s Bd. were adopted. Officers were ekctsd. as follows:—-Presi-dent. Mr W. D. Me&res; vice-presidents, MrsF. Wilding and Mr E. S. Harlvy ; hon. secr£ta«ry, Mr E. Willsteed; lion, treasurer, Mr A. Cant; committe*. Messrs J. B. Brinsden. C J. Atkinson. H. C. Ridley, A. E. Ridley. H. S. Fleming, E. J. Pegg", and S Barrett, and Dr. Orchardi; delegates to the Canterbury Cricket Association. Messrs W. D. Meares. E. S. Harley, J. B. Brins<Jen, and 4S. Calla-way; delegate to the Sports Protection Association. Mr A. Cant; auditor, 5Mr J. Jackinan. The proposal of the Cricket Association to fix the annnsfl subscription for senior clubs at £5, for junior clubs entering for any of the competitions at £2. and other junior clubs at 10s, was left to the delegates to deal with, as was also a petition presented fey thirtvthree members of the club praying that the old system of iiome and home matches be jreverted to. Tiio incoming committee were requested to consider the fixing of outside matches during the coming season. Votes of thanks to the retiring officers and to the Chairmaii closed the meeting.
