A Sub-Committee brought up a report recommending that oo the death or retirement of any officer who bad been in the Council's service for not lew than twenty years, one month's pay for each year of service should be paid—this to apply to the Town Clerk. Assistant Town Clark. City Surveyor, and Rate Collector. The Chief Inspector of Nuisances was added to these, and the recommendation was agreed to. The Catholic Bazaar Committee were granted ft license for the erection of temporary wooden and canvas structures on the vac-ant section opposite the Theatre.
