At the Trades Unionists' Congress at Huddersfield, a small majority carried a resolution that the South African war was cruel and unnecessary. (Received September 7th, 10.10 p.m.) The Trades Union Congress, by an immense majority, rejected Mr Ben Tilietfc's motion in favour of the constitution of a "judicial compulsory Arbitration Court, with power to enforce its awards.
