THE (MAHARAJAH OF GWALIOR.

George Hamilton, Secretary of State for India, informed the House of Commons that he had received from the Maharajah of Gwalior the offer of a fully-equipped hospital ship for China, upon which he was willing to spend twenty lakhs of rupees. The announcement brought cheers from ail parts of tbe House. Lord George went on to say that this princely offer was mad© on behalf of the Maharajah, his mother, and his wife, to testify their loyalty to ber Majesty the Queen-Empress. Her Majesty's Government had expressed their acceptance of this most munificent offer, and their deep appreciation of the motives which had actuated bis Highness in making it.
