A WANT OF FUNDS.

Lyno left for Tasmania to-night ' toM» his father, who is in a critical condition. Prior to his departure he bad a conference with the Lieut -Governor of New Guinea, who complained of want of funds. Wbile in Melbourne Sir W. J. Lyne will consult with the Premier, Mr McLean, with the view of making arrangement- for the New South Wales, Victorian and Queensland Governments each to provide £5000 to carry on *ho government of New Guinea.
