LAND BOARD.
The Board/ met on Thursday. PresentMessrs Pringle (in the chair), j. McLachlan. and J. Sealey. The following applications [ for land were granted: —W. Scoffein, 3 i roods Spring's track"; J. C Burrell, 2 Toods | Christchurch ; P. T. Gell. 2 roods, township of Mackenzie. The tender of Mr G. Puller, jun., was accepted for th* Cheviot woolshed,' 162 acres; the tender of Messrs Skevington and Douthwaite, for the temporary occupation of 9309 acres at Waihao, was accepted. A number of applications for transfers of leases, etc., were dealt with. The reports of tbe Crown Lands Ranger were received \ and considered. It was resolved, on the \ motion of Mr McLachlan—"That this Board I fully concurs with tbe resolution passed by j the Southland Land Board, relating to payments of members of Land Boards, and that a copy.of this resolution be forwarded to the ! Southland Board and the Minister for! Lands." Several-memos were received from the head office with reference to ap-' plications for three years' licenses; etc. I After transacting a good deal of routine busi- j ness the Board adjourned. {
