DESTRUCTIVE FIRES. NINE LIVES LOST.
United Press Association—By Electrio Telegraph—Copyright. {Received August 18th, 9.40 a.m.) SYDNEY, August 18. A fire occurred in a dwelling near Ducgog, .nd an old couple, named Mitchell, aged &3 and 84 resepctively, were burned to death, and an aged son waa badly burned. (Received' August 19th, 8.50 p.m.) SYDNEY, August 19. Langdon and Hopkins's large timber yard at Petersham has been burned. The damage is over £6000. (Received August 20th. 12.20 a.m.) >I_.LBOURNE, August 19. A terrible fire -happened at B-Hara-. A store, occupied by Thomas Jenkins and family and his married daughter, Mrs Algie and family, was burned down, and seven persons perished in the flames. The victims were:—Mrs Algie and her two little children, and two son. and two daughters of Jenkins. Thirteen were sleeping in the store. The other, escaped With difficu-tv.
