WELLINGTON, August 17. The Agent-General has cabled to the Premier, under yesterday's date, as follows:—"British casualties in South Africa up to date: Total dea—ts from all sources, including 150 invalided men, about 9300; prisoners now in the hands of the enemy, 2850; invalided home, a_>cut 28,000. There are probably from six to -seven thousand sick and wounded in the hospitals in South Africa."
