The total births in the above! boroughs amounted to 367, against 432 in June, a decrease of 65. The deatlis in July were 174, a decreas. of Bon the number in June. 0. the total deaths, males contributed 95, and females 79. Thirty-five of the deaths were of ohildren under five years of age, being 20.11 per cent, of the whole number; 29 of these were under one year of age. There were 43 deatlis of persons of. 65 years and upwards. Four men, 71, 74, 77, 81 and four women, 66, 67, 72, 89, died at Auckland; six men, 67, 75, 79, 83, 87, 90, and four women, 68, 75, 80, 83, at Wellington; four men, 73, 76, 82 (two), and nine women, . 68, 70, 73, 79 (two), 80, 81, 82, 85, at Chri-tchurch. and eight men, 65, 67, 68, 71, 74 (two), 76, 81, and four women, 66 & 80, 81 (two), at Dunedin.
