THE WOOL SALES. TO TnE EDITOH OF THE PBESS. ■ Sir, —The letter of Messrs Pyne and Co., in your issue of the 11th inst.,"furnishes an excellent example of good reailts attained at the losal wool sales during the past season, and our own experience attests theirs. For instance, in greasy wool, the Kaiwara merino clip topped the market at 14Jd. with an average of close upon £18 10s p=r bale; Waireka made over £20 per bale;* Craigieburn over £19 10s per bale: St. Helens over £18 10s per bale; Mount Torlesse over £18 10s per bale; Anchor in diamond over £18 per bale: and St. James over £18 per bale, while the scoured wool from St. James realised as high as 2s per lb, also topping the market.
