SHIPWRECK AND DISTRESS. United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright. (Received July 12th, 9.5 a.m.) SYDNEY, July 12. The barquentine Wrestler, 100 days out from British Columbia to Melbourne, has put in in distress. She met a succession of heavy galea, and the cargo shifted. The deck portion was jettisoned, but she has such a strong list to the port side that the deck is considerably under water. She has lost her boats, her bulwarks are smashed, and her sails carried away; she also ran short of provisions. MELBOURNE, July. 12. Tho barque Harold, from Bremen, reports passing the blackened hull of a large waterlogged vessel approximately 40 degrees south and 40.47 east. A quantity of wreckage, consisting of a number of planks, one bearing the name Amelia, has been found on the Victorian coast near Wingan inlet. No vessel of the name is known in Australia.
