Tlie St. Albaiis School Committee, i'at their last meeting, resolved to obtain a supply of* the peace meduJs. Mr TIIO3. Palmer, who has t>eett a member of the Committee for the past twelve years, tendered his• resigtttitJoii',* which ■was accepted with, regret, and the Committee placed on record its high appreciation for the services rendered by Mr Palmer. It was resolved that the. Chairman and headmaster make arrangements for hoisting the flag at an early date. It was decided that a letter of condolence should be sent to Mr Jordan, caretaker of side school, in lr.s recent sad bereavement. ' Mr Jow'sey was unanimously elected a- member of the Committee in pllice of Mr Palmer, resigned. It was resolved to write the Borough Council with reference to the bid state of road# leading to the schools, Tlxe monthly meeting of the Sunnier School Committee, was held on Friday evening. Present—All the Committee except Messrs Rollitt and Wheeler. The roaster's report for the past month was read ivr<J considered satisfactory. The caretaker had sent in her resignation, and it was decided to invite applications for the post, at the same salary as before. The monthly meeting of the Hornby School Committee was heild on July 6th. Present—Mi , Burt (chairman), Messrs Piper, Humin, Kerr, Kinross, Manliire and Hurdey. The master reported the number on the roll as 74 boys and 86 girls. The. highest attendance was 136. A sub-committee of Messrs Burt, Manhire,. Kinross and Hardey. were nominated to procure a flag and the erection of a flagpole for the Hornby school. The Coimnittee decided to procure medals for peace day, and to hold a patriotic concert in the Druids'.Hall in aid of procuring the same. Several accounts were passed for payment. .
