The barque Guiseppo d'Abundo, which ia to load at Lyttelton, made the quick .passage of 3ix days from Wellington to Auckland. Captain Mayoss is now in command of the New Zealand Shipping Company's steamer Papanui.
Yesterday morning the Helen was having her compasses adjusted. For eleven days the Waikato was delayed at Waitara by rough weather, which at timea completely put a stoppage to loading operations. Something went wrong with one of the propeller bladee. and she called in at Wellington to remedy the defect before going to the Wanganui roadstead. A diver was down on Friday morning examining the propeller. She was to sail for the Wanganui roadstead on Monday, and then return to Wellington to finish her loading for the Old Country. The Government steamer Tutanekai, which has not bai?n able to get on with a the repairs to the broken Lyell's Bay-White's Bay cable, lay at anchor in Worser Bay during the southerly gale. She made another start on Friday morning-.' and again dropped anchor in Worser Bay for the night.
