THE CHAMBERS OF COMMERCE BILL.

At a meeting of the Committee of the Chamber of Commerce it was resolved—(l) That this Chamber strongly approves and endorses the statements contained in the petition of the Wellington Chamber, and is of opinion that the Chambers of. Commerce and Jtfines Registration Bill is unnecessary and unworkable in the real interests of eainmeree. (2) That- this Chamber disclaims all reSponsibility for Mr Barclay's nnauthorised statement in" relation to its attitude towards the Bill. : EffVERCARGILL.
