GOLD DREDGING.
TO THE EDITOR OP TUX PRIMS. Sir, —In article No. 2 on "Gold Dredging on the West Coast," in to-day's issue, your reporter says:—"From almost ar- part of these flats dish prospects can do obtained at the first trial, which, according to a gentleman well acquainted with the Otago dredging field, cannot be dome on arrv o{ the Molyneux ground." I made my living for about two years on the Otago fields, cradling and sluicing, generally single handed, and much of the time on the Molvneux, and! can say emphatically that the statement against the Molyneux is quite contrary to my experience. I trust your reporter will not attempt to crack up West Coast at expense of Otago. Both are good fields.—Yours, etc., T. F. MURRAY. 69, Hazeldean road, Sydenham, April 21st, 1900.
