WEDDING.

The marriage of Miss Edith Walker, eldest daughter of ' the late Mr John Walker, of Christchurch, to Mr Walter Edwin Simes, was celebrated at the Church of England, Fendaltori, on Thursday afternoon. The weather was beautiful and a large number of friends assembled to witness the ceremony. The bride, who was escorted, by her brother, was dressed in white silk, trimmed with lace, and was attended by the Misses Amy and Gertrude Walker,; who wore dresses of soft white Liberty satin, gracefully trimmed. The bridegroom was attended by Mr Charles Baker and Mr J. W. Simes. The marriage ceremony was performed by the Rev. T. A. Hamilton, who afterwards addressed a few kind remarks to the wedded pair. After the guests had been entertained, the happy coupk left in the evening for a tour through the North Island. The presents were costly and numerous.
