INDIAN FAMINE FUND.
The Rev. J. J. Dote and Mr Henry Eaton acknowledge the following contributions to the Indian Famine Fund opened in connection with the Oxford Terrace Baptist Church: —Already acknowledged £4 16s; Rev. W. S. Bean £1, C.S. (Fendalton) £1, Elizabeth (Rangiora) £2, H.E. 7s 6d, Mrs Efford s*. W.E.S. ss. SS.G. 2s 6d, J.C. 2s 6d, C. M. 2s. Further subscriptions will be gladly received. At a public meeting in Wellington, the Mayor presiding, it was decided to collect money throughout the province in aid of the Indian Famine Fund. A number of offers of assistance have already been received. As will be t*en by a* notification elsewhere, his Worship the Mayor inivtes donations towards the Indian Famine Relief Fund established in response to the appeal made by the Viceroy of India. Lord Curzon.' Subscriptions can be sent to the Mayor, who will acknowledge them.
