PRESENTATIONS.
The wives of the members of the Lyttelton Naval Artillery, on Monday evening, presented Lieutenant-Commander Joyce, with a handsome set of gold studs and sleeve links, engraved with his monogram and the date, /the whole being in a case suitably inscribed. The presentation was made by Mrs Toomey, wife of Chief Petty Officer Toomey, in the presence of a number of ladies and friends.
Mr Wm. Uru, conductor of St. Stephen's Church Maori choir, was presented on Easter day by the vicar, tho Rev. Wynter, Blathwayt, on behalf of the members of tbe choir, with a large sized Cathedral prayer-book and a handsomely -bound copy of hymns, A. and M., with music, suitably inscribed, as a token of .appreciation of his valuable services as conductor.. A presentation kvas made to B_rs R. Struthers on tha. occasion of her* leaving for England, from the members of St. Paul's Presbyterian church choir, with which she has been associated. Ever since Mrs Struthers. haa. been a member of tbe choir she has shown a deep interest in it," and also in the various societies connected with the young people of tbe church. "The memento, which was presented to Mrs Struthers. took the form of "a small gold link beautifully got up by Mr Shier, jeweller, and arranged so as to be worn either as an appendage to a watch-chain or necklace. Engraved upon one side of it were the words "To Sirs Struthers from St. Paul's choiTj" arid on the other "An emblem of yourself, 11.4. 1900."
