Messrs H. Matsou and Co, have sold lh* first block of tho Brown's Farm property, at Afchbur.ton, containing 640 acres, and adjoining the Mitcham road, to Mr Thus. Morland, of Rukuiu. There was a largo attendance on Wednesday at the Geraldino fortnightly sale, which could bo looked upon as an improved sale in every way. Tho entry of sheep was about 8000. -Two-tooth wethers and madden ewes brought up to 13s sd, two-tooth wethers, lis 6d to 14a 6d, two-tooth ewes- 14s 9d to las, four and eight-tooths 14s Bd', two and -.' four-tooth wethers lis 6d, fat ewes 9» 6d to lis 9d, forward wethers 14s 6d, backward wethers 9s to lis 6d, three-quarterbred lambs 9s 2d to lis 6d, halfbred full-xnouta ewes 8s to 9s 3d, two-tooth three-quarter* bred ewes 14s to 15s, soumi-moutU three* quavterbred ew-es 12a to 13s. A line of two and four-tooth threerqua_terbred ewes sold at 15s. There wan also a large entry of rams. Shropshire, _gn to 2gns, two-tooth Lincoln Leioesters l_gns, two-shear English Leicesters to 3gns, Lincoln rams f_n. There was a fair entry of pigs. Siaatt stores brought, from 3s 3d to 10s, porkers 225. The entry of cattle was a large one. Two-year-old steers and heifers fetched £2 10s, cows in profit £4 to £5. dry cows £117s 6d to £3, fat cows £4 lSsi, calves 16s.
