"COMFORTS" FOR THE FOURTH CONTINGENT. ANOTHER GIFT OF TOBACCO. We have received.. the following letter, which specks for itself: — TO THK EDITOR OF TH_ VEESS. Sir, —We have pleasure in donating towards "The Press" "More Men Fund" 1001b of Red. Indian cut plug tobacco, for the use of the Fourth Contingent on their voyage from New Zealand to Cape Colony. The tobacco will be under bond both in Christchurch and Dunedin, and will be delivered to your order in both places. Our firm have contributed very liberally from each of thoir various branches toward the different patriotic schemes in motion, but specially wish the above 1001b of tobacco to be accepted as a gift from the Christchurch branch of Messrs Bing, Harris and Co.— i Yours, faithfully, ; > '..
