«f> SPRINGSTON DISTRICT SCHOOL. The Springston District School adjourned for the Christmas holidays on Wednesday. On the previous evening a concert and Christinas tree entertainment was given in the schoolroom. The various items were capitally performed by the scholars, the "Grand March" by the senior girls being especially good. The dialogue, "Dolly's Doctor," by Miss R. Trott and Master H. Muir, provoked much mirth. The concert was under the direction of the teachers, assisted by Miss Ethel Blay. The distribution of toys, &c., from the Christmas tree, followed. These were nearly all made by ii\Q scholars, under the supervision of Mrs McCullough and Miss Menzies. During the eveiung.two prizes for attendance, given by Mr 4nd Mrs F. Bailey, were presented- by Mr McGirltough, the head teacher, who presided.
