sent—Messrs H. A. Knight (chairman), 0. Rudd, A. E. Davis, J. -Brown and G. Sandrey. It was decided to receive subscriptions on behalf of the Patriotic Fund. iur J. This Board met on the 11th December. Present—Sir John Hall (chairman), ■ Messrs Westenra, Bealey and CoLvill. It was de- . elded to recommend the formation of local committees for c_llect.ng money for the Patriotic Fund. The following tenders were accepted: —Alterations to Coaigate bridge, Prestidge Bros., £215; Burgess's road, McCarthy and' Bcanlan, formation 6s per chain, ahingung ls 9d ncr yard; Higbhcd road, S. Gibson, formation os per chain, shingling lis 14 per yard, re-shingling ls 6d per yftfd. I Mcllraith's road, J. Bart, shingling is 6d | per yard; Glenroy road, J. Hart, carting I broken metal 3a 3d per yard.

An adjourned meeting of this Board was heLd on the 16th' inst. Present—Memn Dobson, Miles and Philpofct. Mr.Dobson was voted to the chair. I'-he tender of-Jdr Sklaark was accepted for the supply of dog - collars for the coming year. A letter was re- ' ceived from the Lands and Survey Depart- - ment, enclosing a proclamation declaring'Afet the protective works at the Okuku bridge sha_l be a public work.
