BURWOOD SCHOOL.
At the annual distribution of prizes at Burwood District School, Mr W. R. Turner, Chairman of Committee, presided. In drawing special attention to the irregular attendance, he deplored the fact that although good attendance prizes had been promised last Christmas, only two children out of a school roll of over one hundred qualified. Cheers were given for Mrs Dilloway. who presented special Drize, for the staff and tbe Committee. The following is the special prize list: — -Sewing—Standard VI., Winnie Bliss; Standard V., Hilda McGregor; Standard IV.. .Annie McGregor; Standard 111., Hannah Ryan; Standard 11., Mabel Wolfe; Standard I , Tressie Harrison; peparatory classes. Division 1., Edith Leggin; Division 11., Laura Jacobs. Good Attendance—lst Class, Hilda McGregor, Annie McGregor. -
