Light, with a light weight up ,was beaten off. Watershot, Waiwera. and Marina jumped the hurdles well. The kttar went once round only, and finished on the plough. La Volta and* Lightning also jumped once round, the former faliing at the last fence. Sedgebrook and St. Lyra were associated in a fast nx furlongs, the former having the beat of the go.
