THE MOA.

Messrs Straohoa Bros., «f Croydon, discovered a. number of bsnes on Friday last (says the "Gore Standard') which clearly demonstrate the fact that the now extinct moa was an inhabitant of the Hokonui Bush. There were two large shank bones, each measuring clese on 7ft in length; also several bones of the foot, measuring between llln and 12in in length. In addition to this, the hrlnd part of the body as far ac the wing bones was also found. The bones were found in the scrub, and partiaily covered by a large fallen tree.
