It demands the immediate acceptance of the five years' franchise, with a quarter representation' in the Vdjjksraad for the goldfields, equality of the' Dutch and English languages, equality of dd and new burghers in the presidential and other elections, and a conference to settle franchise details and arrange guarantees. Unless there is definite acceptance of the demands Great Britain will take stops to secure a settlement. Unofficial opinion in Pretoria Anticipates the acceptance of the demands.
