AUSTRALIANS v. MIDDLESEX United Preas Association—By Electrio Telegraph—Copnight. LONDON, August 21. The Australians began a match to-day at Lord's against the fafipwing Middlesex eleven —Hearne. Trott, Roche, Rawlin, Wells, Warner, Ford, Moon, Jats. Douglas, R. Douglas, McGregor. Australia batted first. The weather was brilliant, the wicket fast, and the attendance large. Hill, Worrall and Johns are standing but of the Australian team. At the luncheon adjournment four wickets were down for 101 runs; and when play ceased the Australians had lost five wickets for 320.
