DOG AND POULTRY SHOW.

NAPIER, August 11. The Hawke's Bay Kennel and Poultry Club's Show was opened to-day. Mr J. C. Coupe, of Sydney, judged the dogs. The following were the chief prize-takers:'— English setters, Mr Paul Hunter, Hawke's Bay; Gordon setters, Mr R. J. Hamlin, Napier; retrievera, Dr. Newman, Wellington (two prizes), Mr G. Martin, Wellington (two prizes); collies, Mr H. McDonald, Inland Patea (four prizes); special and championship for bitch, Mrs C. Stubbs, Wellington; fox terriers, Mr P. L. Price, Wellington (two firste>. The poultry, of which a fine variety was shown, were mostly Hawke's Bay entries.
