LINWOOD.
The Lin wood Borough Council met last evening. Present —Cre. J. J&mieson (in the. chair)," A. Ayers, Jos. Taylor, J. R. Brunt, H. Pearce, J. Clewortb, A. Marshall, and P. Board. An apology was received for the absence of. Cr. John Taylor. Tie-Finance Commibtee reported receipts since last meeting £103 13s Id, debit balance at Bank £1075 12s 4d, and recommended accounts to the amount of £191 14s 7d be passed for payment. • The report also recommended that accident policies be taken out for all employees of the Council, which would mean an expenditure of 10 per cent, on the total amount of wages and salaries paid during the year. The report was adopted.
