HUNTING.
Mr Fowler's, Broomfield, was the meeting, place for the Christohurcb. hounds on Saturday last —a really pretty place for a meet, and the hounds with their attendant horsemen assembled on the green sward, made a charming picture, reminding one of many a meet in the Old Country- A hare was soon found, but owing to the huge crowd, small enclosures, and a dodging hare, the hounds were not able to give much sport until late* in the evening, when they showed the way after another hare to a select few,' right away to the other side of the Yaldhurst road, where they had to be whipped off owing to darkness coming on. The attendance must have been quitq the record one for the season. The country hunted over belonged to Messrs Fowler,.. Jackson, Shirley, and Clarkson, and to these gentlemen the Club are deeply indebted....
