LODGE MEETINGS.

» — The Loyal City of Christchhrch Lodge, 4602, M.U.J.0.0.F., held a summoned meeting on Monday, the 6th inst. Among the visitors were the District G.M., Bro. A. Paddy, and a number of members from the Sister Pearce Lodge. The N.G., Bro. L. S-chmoll, presided. The auditors' yearly report and balance sheet were adopted. These showed that £832 5s 3d had been paid as sick pay, and £120 as funeral money for tbe year. It was resolved to consider the by-laws on next lodge night. The receiptwere £45 6s 9d. At the monthly meeting of No. 3 Victoria Ladies' Loyal Orange Lodge, the president. Sister Gourly, in the chair, it was decided to send a letter of condolence to Bro. Carey, sympathising with him on the death of his wife. A vote of thanks was passed to the visiting sisters of No. 1 "No Surrender," and to No. 7 "Princess of Orange." The sick and funeral fund of the lodge is now commenced, and is progressing very favourably. The ordinary meeting of Court Thistle of the Forest, No. 6494, A.0.F.. was held on Tuesday. The C.R., Bro. H. G. Ward, presided. Sister Burns, of Milton, Otago. received a hearty vote of thanks for lier visit to this court. One candidate was proposed for membership. Tbe receipts for the evening amounted to £11 17s 4d.
