Hβ alluded to the generosity of Mr John Tinline, who gave £540 to the work. He gave credit to the Mayor, Mr Trask, for initiating the work. Cheers were given for the Premier, the Mayor, Mr Tinline, and all connected with the work. The Premier leave* for Wellington at midnight.
