PRESIDENT'S CUP MATCHES.

The match between the Midland and Lyttelton teams was brought to a conclusion at Hagley Park on Saturday, when the former won by six wickets. Scores:—Lyttelton 147 and 85 (Sevinour 38 not out and McInerney 10); Midland 207 (McLaren 74 not out. Ross 56, Johnston 31, aud Barge 13). and 26 for four wickets (McLaren 12). Johnston ami Green bowled well for the winner's, and Lewin and Mclnerney were the most successful with the ball for the losers.

Midland beat Lancaster Park B team at Hagley Park by 76 runs. Scores:—.Midland 90 and 82 (Cutts 31 not. out. and Winstanley and Whitta- 19 each); Lancaster Park 33 and 63 (ILill 15 and J>onnington 13). Whitta bowled best for the winners, and Ridley for the losers.
