Thuksday, February 3. (Before Major Keddell, S.M.) The Licensing Laws.—Ben Williams was fined £5 for supplying drink to prohibited persons; in default thirty days' hard labour. Maintenance. —Albert Williams, charged with failing to provide for an illegitimate child, was ordered to pay 4s per week, and £20 for compensation. A case for maintenance, under the Destitute Persons Act, came before the Court, and was dismissed. Breach of the Peace.— J. Belton, for a breach of the peace, was fined 10s and 2s and costs. Civil. Cases. — Several civil cases were brought up, and judgment was given for plaintiffs as follows:—W. M'Pherson v. W. Robertson, claim £2 7s Id ; J. R. Clement v. W- A. Brockett, claim £6 19s 9d, on judgment summons; W. Evans v. W. Wills, claim £3 6s.
