The French have acquiesced in Great Britain controlling the Britishers' property in the French-Shanghai concession, but the attitude taken up by the Britishers has prevented :ia agreement. Great Britain is new awaiting their wishes in the marter.
Russians at Hankow declared that the Britifhers' hide-curing works, in the centre of'their concession, was a nuisance. The British churned priority of possession, and refused to accept compensation. Eviction is now threatened.
M. de Giera, the Russian Minister at Pekin, has been instructed to further French interests as vigorously as Russian.
An Imperial edict adds all provincial governors to the Tsung-Li-Yamen. This step is calculated to impede diplomacy.
