THE LATE MRS CAREY HILL.
The funeral of the late Mrs W. Carey Hill took place yesterday at Papanui Churchyard, and was largely attended. The chief mourners were Mr*W. Carey Hill, Rev. Bruce Todd (of Geraldine), and Messrs J. J. Kinsey and CH. Croxton. A very large number of wreaths were sent, including those from Mr and Mrs . Greenwood, members of the Canterbury Club, Mr and Mrs W. B. Common, Mr and Mrs W. Murray, Mr and Mrs Croxton, Mr and Mrs McKeuar, Mr and Mrs H. Nelson, Mr and Mrs A. L. Parsons, Mr and Mrs C. R. Beadel, Colonel and Mrs F. W. Francis, Mr and Mrs G. H. Merton, Mi and Mrs De Vifes, Mrs J. V. Ross and family, Mr and Mrs V. Hargreaves, Mr and Mrs H. G. Lane, Mr and Mrs W. Macfarlane, Mr and Mrs. G. S Jakins, Mr A. Carrick, Miss Martin, Mr and Mrs Sidney Weetman, employees of Manning and Co., Limited, Mr and Mrs Winstone, Mr" and Mrs R. W. Brown, Mr, Mrs and Miss G. Maclean, Mr and Mrs Rotherham, Mr, Mrs and Miss Kinsey, Mr and Mrs j. B. Way, Mr and Mrs W. D. Wood, Mr and Mrs G. Pengelly, Mr and Mrs H. Quane, Mr I. Gibbs, Miss Cunningham, Miss Willis, maids of the house, and Mrs Kinsey's maids. The service at the grave was conducted by the Rev. H. Airey-Watson.
