The Auokland House Painters' Union have lodged with Mr Edward Rawson, clerk of awards, an application with regard to the hours of labour and other trade matters in dispute. The Board of Conciliation will meet at tbe Supreme Court on the 15th inst* to investigate the matter. DUNEDIN, September-*, k In the furniture trade dispute the Conciliation Board has adjourned to permit of the signatures being obtained of one seller who refused to sign because he employed no labour, and one mannfacturer at Port Chalmers, who contended that he was out- - side the district. The coal miners' dispute was mentioned before the Board. Mr Allan Holmes, for the Kaitangata Company, said the Company had sold out, and was being-wound up. _f there were any other parties to the diaput* they were not in the colony.
