WELLINGTON POULTRY SHOW.
(PRBSS ASSOCIATION TELEGRAM.) WELLINGTON, July 21. The Poultry and Pigeon Show, opened today, is one of tho best the society naa had. Birds were present from a large number of outside towns. Tho Ballance trophy for Langshans was won by Mr F. Rogen, Dunedin, for the third time in succession. The other prize takers of 10 guinea trophies were —Forsyth and Fox, Christchurch ; Banks, Christchurch ; Hearfield, Christohureh; Rose, Dunedin; Tattersall, Auckland; Menzies and Sinclair, Sydenham. W. Fraser scored twelve firsts, ten seconds and one third; A. Fraser, three firsts, one second and four thirds; A. Gapes, nine firsts and three seconds and a trophy; Hobbs Bros., four firsts, one second and a third; R. Rodgers, two firsts ; H. Hearfield, in white Leghorns, first and special and trophy* second; Messrs Menzies and Sinclair, first, second and third in drakes and ducks, and a trophy ; J. Tindall, third Minorca pullet, first Indian pullet; George Butcher scored one first, two seconds and a third ; S. C. Kesteven, two firsts, second and a third; Mrs C. C. L. Banks, five firsts, three seconds and a third, and a trophy; Lundon, first Plymouth Rock cocker.l; S. G. Cox, two firsts ; Wm. Gobs, one first, two seconds ; W. G. Beumelberg, three firsts, two seconds; P. Jack, two seconds, two thirds ; A. W. Bobbins, two firsts and a second ; J. A. Seabourno, one first, second and third ; Pelham Poultry Yards, third part Cochin cock, third Houdan cock, one first part Cochin cockerel, first Houdan pullet, nrst part Cochin hon, second Houdan hen, second part Cochin hen, first Golden Polish, first Black Polish cock, first Hamburgh, second Black Polish pullet, first Silver Polish.
