WELLINGTON. July 21. The cases of measles on the Aorangi were very mild. The patients are p ssengers for Suva, and have been isolated from the rest of the passengers. The Aorangi has no passengers for Klondike this trip. Mrs fiille, who disappeared bet Tveon Wellington and Picton, was recently plaintilf in a case heard here last week for money lent. The Stipendiary Magistrate chara-teriued the defendant as a heartless swindler, and gave judgment for Mrs Hi lie. Amongst the latter's effects found on the steamer was a short note to her mother, making some disposition of her property, expressing regret at having left Nelson, and asking forgiveness for what she ;had done. The Plumbers' Union has "accepted the award of the Conciliation . Board in the recent dispute. Iv the Divorce Court to-day, in the case GeDrgina Ivess v Joseph Tvess, a hotel waiter, a wife's petition on the ground of cruelty, adultery and desertion, a decree nisi was granted. The respondent did not appear. * DUNEDIN, July 21. The Hand and Heart Lodge, Manchester Unity, increased funds in hand by £261 for the halt-year, making the total £21,466, and claims to be the wealthiest lodge south of the line.
